AFAIK the current PA purchase form requires a valid MFLB serial - so it was a two shipping step process for me - not entirely a bad thing since I got a chance to learn how to use batteries for portability and for power outages.

+1 Just got mine. Batteries willl serve when there are no power points, but the adapter really makes the little box fly. Think: permanently charged battery; on steriods when you want. Control the heat power - no more charring... Another strong buy recommendation and thanks to the MFLB crew.
