That would be "more information". That means I think that's a different case. My opinion stands, for the reasons cited. I'd go with the factory one in the situation the OP describes. OF

    Arizer Solo

Not enough details to say for sure, but I'd steer clear. I understand that the bigger capacity rating is attractive and all, but Arizer had the same option (3400 mAh) and didn't use them......instead using the same 2200 or so class batteries 'the smart money' uses. That is that's the battery...

Cool, run it down some and try again, I think you're just fine...... Regards. OF

Sounds like old model (stops heating, new ones continue on). I suspect the battery is fully charged right now? TIA OF

I think a simple, and hopefully definitive, test is to start heating on battery then plug it into 12 VDC and see if it continues to heat normally. New models do, old ones drop heating and switch to charging. OF

Stems vary (read 'don't all fit the same'), my Ed's stem is actually a bit larger than the glass stem I usually use. And the oven seal 'opens up' over time. All stems will get looser as a result. "Clicking in" is a happenstance, not a feature. Arizer doesn't warrant fit, and have told us in...

    The Arizer Air

I guess that clears it up. IMO it's not really a ceramic heater, at least as far as the customer is concerned. You could also (correctly) say it's NiChrome heater (assuming that's the alloy), although ceramic is part of the materials used. Technically correct, but IMO misleading. How many...

    The Arizer Air

They seem to indicate not so: "High power, high quality, long-life Li-ion batteries, made specifically for use with the Arizer Air." It looks like a 18650, but could also be say 17670. Not that some makers might use an odd size to lock you into buying from them, but some makers might use an...

    The Arizer Air

Thanks. I'd somehow missed it. Twice. So it's about 2/3 the diameter (basically the size of the Solo oven OD) and a bit longer in the body. The stem seems shorter of course. Interesting they went back to a ceramic bowl???? Although I guess the actual heater in Solo is ceramic, but the...

    The Grasshopper

That's what I recall as well. A serious 'we know what we're up to and how to deliver high tech products' sort of claim? I definitely was not under the impression they were green students with fresh degrees and no 'real world' experience. I disagree, the bulk of the issues (design, test...

I guess I see them as basically one and the same from a user end? That is they fight the restriction because they want more air flow. If they were happy with the flow, no fighting..... Going to high performance stems looking for more vapor is not going to work well. I don't think either Pak...

Once again, a timely and useful observation. If the unit isn't doing what you want, redouble your efforts? I guess it's better for some to do that and then bitterly complain that it won't do what they want without considering it wasn't designed to do it...... I will take some issue with "true...

    Vapman

Well, not without breaking it....... If you're really serious it's pretty easy to 'cut' (actually score and snap) it down and "fire polish" (heat to glowing with your torch lighter) to smooth the edge. Lots of details around. But I can demonstrate putting your glass stem inside your egg...... OF

    VaporGenie

Agreed, it's my favorite for sure. I recall one of their Engineers saying so as well, and he could have the pick of the litter I suspect. Two other features (aside from the cooling effect of the metal mass) are the 'heft' of it and the location of the bowl. It's very easy to see, and...

    Iolite vaporiser

Wow! If I didn't already have a backup for my backup Iolite........ Yes, I've got one 'in the vape box' for routine use when the urge strikes, and a (backup) in a small 'war bag' with gas and a couple grams of stash for spur of the moment road trips or other opportunities and a 'brand new'...

    The Magic-Flight Box

Not to be too hard on yourself.......you were younger then after all...... I love the "smallest vaporizer in my palm" part. It's also the largest (assuming you're only holding one in that palm at the time)? Also the best.....but the worst as well. Glad you gave the little guy another chance...

Is the Q man great or what? Spot on answer in 6 minutes flat? The only thing I might add is there's some interesting reading on the topic here: http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/how_to_prolong_lithium_based_batteries Pay special attention to the stuff around Table 4. Normally you...

You're welcome, helping each other is why we're here. IMO a very good effort. I've got a couple of ideas to throw in: Batteries of the type used should be shipped (and stored) at 60% charge or so. Simply sitting at full charge degrades them. However, for maximum battery life you should...

Normally guys go without the 'carb' hole unless they specifically want it (it's used to 'clear' the piece rather than lifting a connection). However, IMO it's not a big deal otherwise. I got my first GonG with the carb hole since it was all there were in stock. I put a couple wraps of Teflon...
