Can someone explain how "unlocking" the unit would result in temperature variances when they are all running the same software/firmware? Sounds more like variances among units regarding the resistance of the metal coil heater. If you've ever configured custom TCR curves this should sound familiar.

I've used many rosin systems and still hit 25% yield with a hair straightener in a bench vise. You shouldn't expect those numbers every squish regardless of your machine but they pop up once in a while. There's nothing you can do with your hands though that will compare to cranking on it in a vise.

Just different consistencies of what tends to be the same source material. Shatter can to be easier to load for me in a pen as long as it's not too brittle of a shatter where shards fragment all over the place. Personally I like sappy rosin.

Do you have any other vaporizers? I used a Volcano for years as a daily driver, but I don't consider it the most efficient vape.

I see, so you are doing some pretty long sessions. What temperature do you typically have the Volcano set to?

I wouldn't consider 2x a day heavy at all unless you are vaping like grams in those sessions. My tolerance would be almost nothing if I only vaped twice a day.

If you use enough heat to extract all the actives in one hit, I'd reason to believe the more volatile compounds affected at lower temperatures will suffer decomposition. The heat needed to vaporize the cannabinoids at the top end of the temperature spectrum would likely be too much for the low...

Sounds like wet herbs, are your flowers dried properly granny? You might try leaving some of the higher moisture material out to crisp up a bit.
