I call BS. You've made some of those posts on other threads........ Kinda like the Obama Care folks 'accidentally' claiming 400,000 Dental signups? Congrats anyway, your contributions are evident.....even without the numbers. Thanks. OF

If the base question here is 'what features might desk tops exploit in the future to gain market advantage over portables' I suggest two. First off, the 'power to burn' advantage will favor convection and therefore (at least to some) superior taste. Experience with T1 and Cera have...

Interesting conjecture on the future differences between portable and corded vapes. I think corded vapes avoid the major design constraint of portables, available power. Without this restriction, desktop units use several times more power to do the work, a true luxury where you otherwise have...

No need. Just order from PIU, he'll find you.....and be there if you need support, so fast you probably won't believe it....... Good guy: http://www.puffitup.com/category-s/61.htm OF

As the number of steps gets smaller, so will the percentage of guys that find their favorite number? FWIW I too would have cast a wider net, to support the low temp guys......nobody asked me, either. Hopefully they've done their homework so a minimum will be disappointed. Ironically the...

Sorry, Bro, can't buy "stupid". No way. Perhaps 'uninformed' but stupid is a long long ways from there. Stupid might include insisting something that obviously can't be is happening? I agree, sometimes guys take stuff personally when it should be an objective discussion of how things are, a...

That doesn't follow. Since power is current times voltage you can get the same power at half the voltage by using twice the current. Same as your laptop (or Solo charger) does when you're in Europe and plug into 220 VAC rather than in the US and use 120 VAC with exactly the same gear. I...

I wouldn't suggest bringing up 'what's lame' as a topic, you might not like some other member's opinions....... And weren't you speculating a little while back, or doesn't that count? I'm with Stema. Information, opinions and what's behind them are what we're here for? Until guys get real...

My bet is it's a reworked version of the Solo circuit, which can charge several times faster than a USB due to power limits. The charger seems the same ($30). You can, of course, always do this very easily. Charge the battery in a USB powered charger and swap it in? IMO charge time matters...

Perhaps you're working too hard? I use 'Doob Tubes' for this. Excellent quality, first rate seal, tough as nails, 'ideal size' for the job (although I still use the funnel, IMO a fun 'fine point' and part of the ritual). Next time you're giving money to PV (and you know you should....) why...

My 'take' is draw will be the same as the current Solo, same oven, interchangeable stems. I'm not sure how convenient it will end up being, I think many owners will simply recharge and use normally the original battery, but it will be handy when the original gets weak. I too see no huge...

The key is less visible vapor now. Like with smells, sound or light levels, it takes a large change to register with us so once you notice it's lower it's usually on the run in absolute numbers. I don't think I recall many reporting more than say a dozen cycles, perhaps none? Any of 'the old...

You're welcome. I think if you want a Persei type load (like Omicron carts?), which are 601 thread you should go with a supply designed for them, Persei or Omicron if you're not trying to run Bender or the bitter oil carts. TV stuff will also be harder to support as time goes on of course. OF

There are two schools of thought about the 'mystery vapor'. One is catalyst from the rubber parts, the other 'contamination' in the mica insulation. We're told the silicone is food grade (which really applies more to the catalyst as I understand it) so the first case represents no significant...

Actually they're very different. Depending on the TV model, they don't even use the same batteries. And Persei has more latitude there. While the T1 and Cera are mechanical supplies, not so Persei. It's a 'smart' supply (or at least smarter). And they have similar but different threads...

Yes, I posted as much a while back. IMO not a useful test unless one has both in hand to compare, and even then you need a sample of each type. I suggest the 'plug the charger in while it's heating' test instead since that can be done without a reference. Because it's an entirely different...
