OF is right you can damage your unit and explode something if using the wrong voltage with the wrong Hercules. You can't damage the Hercules by pulsating the button if you use the correct voltage with the correct Hercules.

Taste has improved ten gold, I can taste the of all the way down to .1 left in it and when I refill it comes back. The .1 is the mark it stops producing vapor. The silica wick is now gone.

Its not the burning seals you taste, it is the oil heating up to much. This issue is fixed the Hercules and the cartridge is long last and cleanable. I would suggest you invest on the second generation Hercules and improve taste 100 times over. Also gotta ask is that a 502 big block?

if the cart sizzles when empty there could be an issue (ie bad cart, condensation, foreign material), if the cart sizzles when there is oil in it then there something wrong with the oile.
