I went through a few old style plates, but my new version has been flawless- no cracks, no unusual wear, only slight discoloration on the outside of my dimple, which can be expected when torching metals.

+1 to contacting Epic, and trying a different plug/outlet. It does not sound at all like a short, I would guess it is likely just a loose solder joint somewhere... but I am not sure exactly how these are wired internally.

But only one of those has any classic appeal to me- and if you have the means, I highly recommend one. A well chosen Rolex is often a safer investment than many other markets. They hold/retain their value incredibly well.

For future models, I would also love to see a fully cleanable cap. The inability to fully clean this vape is the only reason I do not fly with mine.

I also think they are going to be dumped on the market a ton at a time... like cheapo $30 oil pens. For my best vaping experiences, I have learned to follow other FC users experience and just stick with FC approved brands and reputable vendors.
