Your heating element is likely not up to par if you cannot combust. Mine will start a fire over 7.5 if I take a long enough draw.

Yes, google domeless quartz castle, it is the style of nail you linked to. Most quartz castles will cost you $35-45 shipped, unless buying from a Chinese dealer or Ebay reseller. You can find them for less, but it is right about retail IMO.

I think it is as simple as the fact the silicone is porous, and rubs against the resiny brown inside of the bowl. I do not attribute it to heat or anything else.

I do not think it breaks easy at all, it is quite solid. But it is nice to have a second... I like to always have a clean one on hand. Stems neet to be a specific diameter to fit just right. Get them direct from EpicVape, Ed or Joda.
