20% yield on some Platinum OG I squished naked. Peep the clarity! Squished this at 175

Probably doesn't look like anything special but this OG mix of cured trim bin sift is the most potent I've had in a long time. Even the terp sauce and the live rosin weren't this strong. A real ass kicker! Pressed at 160F on the 3x5 caged set by Dabpress.

I'm not doubting the harshness at all but as far as being "too hot" the thing is, 400 degree vapor is 400 degree vapor. It's not like the SH can physically produce hotter vapor than other heavy hitter desktops. These compounds vaporize at the same temperatures regardless of the vaporizer used...

But does it self clean between every dab? I realize some people are not sensitive to the taste of thermally degraded compounds but I find them nearly noxious. Being able to clean the all glass version after each use sounds much better. I wouldn't worry about thermal shock, its high...

What happened that made you change your mind? I remember you saying it was a huge upgrade from your 16mm OG setup. Didn't you also recently post that you felt you had CHS and Azadirachtin poisoning and all vaping was affecting you negatively?

It sounds like the Peak def. has the advantage since it can be cleaned after every hit and starts from cold. Cold starts are so smooth, it's a huge eye opener and changed the way I feel about vaporization. I would never want to depend on the nail to burn off its own residues, that sounds...

Any performance related advantages? Doesn't your Puffco Peak have all those same safety features? Is it easy to clean this V2.5 or are you supposed to just let residues burn on to the heating element?

This atomizer issue sounds like the old ego pens from 5 years go where you'd have to pull out the pin at the ego threading or the pen would just flash and not work.

That's a good question, I think there would be a lot of variables. IMO direct draw with the shortest vapor path should be ideal for reducing condensation, but that means the incoming vapor must be hotter to stay in phase, so then it becomes a trade off with perceived harshness there. No free lunch!?

I've heard that argument countless times, it's completely baseless. With potency approaching 80% THC+ there's a reason why premium rosin is the most expensive product on the cannabis market. $200 a gram here retail in Southern California for premium hash rosin.

If you wanna keep the jar I wouldn't even worry about it. I store my rosin in re-usable glass jars so I don't even consider waste anymore as I frequently re-load it.

The rosin I made from cured dry sift today might be the strongest stone I've had in years.

it's a sacrifice to the wax gods. You could use ISO or ethanol to wash it out, and then purge that but quite the process for a dab or two. I would try sticking it in the freezer and see if the wax will come off but it's pretty difficult to get 100% out of a jar.
