Yeah, I definitely think you'll be satisfied with the sic halo for that usage. For me, the biggest benefit to those other setups is they don't add convection heat to the mix, but for people who are less sensitive to stuff like that it's probably not a big deal.

I prefer the vrod to the showerhead for flower and concentrate, but I don't think it can dab as good as my gavel + 25mm coil, or the sic halo on a flat coil.

IMO this is where quartz excels, a longer thermal curve over the course of the uptemp. Short of editing your PID parameters which should accomplish the same idea but I'm not much of a mather.

I have a Dnail SiC Halo and 20mm + 25mm quartz bangers. I like them all, the e-nail experience is much simpler and less fiddly than torching. If I was gonna start over today I'd probably go for an Auber RDK 200 or 300 controller and either a 25mm banger with a 25mm coil, or a SiC Halo setup...

Since a torched dab is always going to be hotter than an enail dab, I find going too low in temperature can ironically kill flavor as you won't get that complete flavor spectrum. IMO they all get hot and harsh without a watertool. That's the trouble with removing one from the setup. Honestly the only thing that really does what you want is a wax pen. Can sip on it, puts out strong vapor, and nothing to break.
