Aside from the charger there is no 'US version'. The basic Solo/Air runs off it's internal battery (even when plugged in), it has no idea where it is. It will make vapor the same way in any hemisphere. OF

I agree. IMO it's a first rate 'first vape'. Very flexible and tolerates variations in technique well. Good aftermarket support. Very hard to go wrong with Air or Solo. OF

I think you made a wise choice. You've 'bought into' a solid unit with a long history of excellent performance. Very very few problems past wearing the battery out over a couple of years? Noteworthy taste. GH, OTOH, might be seen as 'buying into a peck of trouble'. I'm watching, if it ever...

No, sorry, I don't know it. There's a LOT of coax power connectors out there. Here's a partial list of some of the more common ones: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coaxial_power_connector#RadioShack_Adaptaplug_conversion_matrix What is it you're trying to do? Replace the PS? If the idea is...

As the saying goes "in plain sight"? No hiding at all going on. I've tried to 'go the extra mile' passing on things I think others might find useful, no secrets. If you search for cable posts by me on this thread you'll find a couple dozen posts on the topic covering maybe half a dozen or...

Probably the cheapest is a USB cable. IIRC this is one of the ones I've used: http://www.ebay.com/itm/cable-USB-4-0x1-7-DC-POWER-4-0mmx1-7mm-Charge-Supply-5V-Tablet-Android-Sony-PSP-/281234981407 There may be others available, I've paid less, but under four bucks isn't all that steep? You can...

Yep. And I think dry is more important than grind. In fact lately I've gone back to a medium grind (really a shred). It's vaping fine and staying in place better I think, then again I'm using the domed screens in mine which no doubt plays a part as well. OF

There's often other issues in play at the LHS level. They can 'talk up' the unit they know (they may have limited experience or entirely different goals than you), the one they can make the most profit on (after all, it's a business.....) or it could be as simple as that's the one they have in...

It doesn't time that way, it times from power up. Even if you never select a heat setting (and actually start the session) the timer runs from turn on, same as in Solo. Easiest to click it off (both buttons), back on (both buttons again) then hold down the down key to reset to former setting...

If there's no other cracks, you might be able to salvage it by 'fire polishing the raw surface. You need to heat the glass past the softening point, but shy of the 'slump' point (so it doesn't loose shape). The edges, since they are more exposed, will heat first. Once they soften let it...

    Discontinued Elevape SV

I think the defaults (values shipped when new), are fixed. Something like steps 1, 3 and 5? IIRC if you set all 3 of the sliders in the app to the top then plug the ESV in it reloads those default values? Bending the coil down changes the heat a lot I think. By moving the coil closer to the...

As I said before, 3/8 inch seem to work (and are widely available) you might try them? I used a hook in the end of a safety pin to fish them out. Think past metric....... OF

    Ascent Vaporizer by DaVinci

We all went through the initial smelly time. It will go away. Exactly so, it's been discussed a lot here. Nothing to worry about. Once the surface is coated with reclaim all you can taste is reclaim? I'm sure the OP will come around too. I hope he ordered some glass flowers to try........ OF

You might try what I did at first: When it gets solidly to working temperature (about 2 or 3 minutes) don't settle into the session, instead shut it off and immediately back on. Now you have 10 minutes of vaping, for a 12 or 13 minute total. This costs an extra session per battery of course...

    FlowerMate Vapormax V/V5.0/V5.0S/V5 Pro

Definitely not .7mm, that's about the size of the wire in a paper clip..... 7mm perhaps? Standard 3/8 inch screens seem to fit, although I don't mess with them personally. There are no doubt other vapes that have screens in this size range. Iolite for instance?? OF

    Arizer Solo

First off, watch 'lead dress', it's tight in there, study how the factory fit everything in under the cover. It all has to go in so there's no pressure on the cover. And be very careful putting the screws back in, be sure the cover is solidly down flush first, then put the screws in 'just...

Excellent! Well put. "I read it on the internet"........ I think this points to one of the true strengths of these Forum: The rules here keep 'my vape is better than yours because' talk to a minimum, and generally keeps guys from coming up with BS reasons for that sort of BS. In general I...

Glad you got on board. Solo's good gear for sure. You might try the screens suggested by our own Sinclue a while back (for the Air, but same bowls.....): http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-arizer-air.16415/page-96#post-730350 They look like this in action: They not only reduce the load...

    The Arizer Air

Being as Arizer's factory is in Canada, I suspect these aren't genuine? Why would they send assembled units to China to sell at a discount? The 100 piece minimum is a clue as well? I'd steer clear...... OF
