And he was so right.......as he always seems to be. Which is why the candle/solar/alcohol lamp idea is one who's time is at hand. When we run out of Butane we're going to need an alternative. How about a solar powered Heating Station? We'd have to disguise it, of course. OF

Antique Airs! I love it. The big bucks ones at Southerby's will come with 'provenance' proving that while it no longer works it still has the original battery and a 'period correct' stem........ We should all live so long. Thanks for the big old smile. Merry Christmas to all our readers. OF

No, I'm quite serious and believe I know what I'm talking about. And no, Rene has said here that there is no significant radiation going on. Tell you what, you post the quote of him saying it's radiation and I'll look for the one about conduction? No need to make the man post the same thing...

I agree with you and am not sure about NO particles, even with a screen over the end. By 'gluing' the load together (either 'hamster style' or by raw skill alone) most debris sticks to the load, but some 'dust' always seems end up in the cup. Shaking or blowing it out remedies this quickly...

Amen! Today it's gotta be a fresh organically grown Russet from the Northwest and the pencil has to have proven lead free paint........that you've disinfected. Thanks for the smile. OF

    Discontinued Elevape SV

Yep, the one I tried yesterday in fact (fine 3/4 inch SS screen) did just that. Went 'all the way down' on the sides and screened the output vents too. Not needed for sure, but makes it a solid fit unlikely to come off. A tip on installing it: Put a temporary 'sharper' dome in the center...

    Vapman

Shouldn't the plural of "Vapman" be "Vapmen"? OTOH, to avoid the PC Gestapo perhaps a rename to "Vapeperson" is in order? This stuff is getting so confusing these days. When I was younger the rules were clearer (at least to me). You know the Johnathan Winters bit about 'what's the plural of...

Exactly so if you want fastest possible vapor (the OP's point). Other goals might call for different loads. This really makes sense when you consider this is a conduction vape. As heat comes in through the pan it warms the herb in contact. If the load is tightly packed heat is transferred...

I'm still not being clear enough I guess. The post I quoted you on is not the one you're referring to. The link is in my post, but here's your message again: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/elevape-sv.13517/page-110#post-892725 There you appear to have said: The emphasis there is mine...

Not what I read, and quoted. You said there "the magnets on the lid", right? Others have also called them magnets, which they are not. That was my point? I'm not saying there are no magnets (there clearly are), nor that some future version I know nothing about will or won't have them, just...

    Ascent Vaporizer by DaVinci

Yup, while some techniques are better than others, none are really bad? And what is best is pretty personal/subjective. I think the flowers have the edge on flat out performance, but the spacers are sure easier to use. My personal favorite load, although kind of 'fiddly', is two flowers on...

    FlowerMate Vapormax V/V5.0/V5.0S/V5 Pro

While some will see this as one smell 'overpowering' or 'masking' the other, I think the major effect comes from condensate sealing the surfaces. Like plating or painting steel to keep the oxygen in the air from rusting it. Thus either trapping or forcing the evolved gas to 'go the other way...

Guys, let's stick to the fact here, shall we? Those are SS washers, not magnets, in the lid. The magnets are in the body. Get something steel and see for yourself, like the hex key that came with it your ESV for disassembly, it sticks to the body not the lid? The washers (a magnetic SS...

While defects in caps could be the issue I doubt it. I think this is tied up with the 'my cap is jammed on so tight I can't get it off' problems? I suspect it's thermal expansion playing up. Specifically when hot the cap expands more than the glass? Tightening it more when hot (intentionally...

Oh, I like that. I'll need to think a bit about it, but I bet I end up liking it a lot. For sure I agree with the idea, if you never ask it's a straight up loss. Thanks. I really like that one already. Who can tell indeed? As the Grateful Dead pointed out long ago, "lately it occurs to me...
