I've done the reset, my lights work and the clock works but they are not powered by the PA . the battery is what powers the lights and timer. PA only powers the heating element.

Yes that is normal with mine, when you change the heat setting, especially right after a good pull the software resets itself and shows your current heat, you will not see this unless you change your heat setting, since the unit is already hot it does not take as long to revive itself.
