I've read that a big difference in the feeling receive from combusting vs. vaping is the reaction your body has to defending itself from the smoke and toxins released from combusting. Those reactions do not take place when vaping (or very minimally, for those who push the higher temps when vaping).

I've suffered both! (luckily in the past though)... Have definitely had herbs that lacked vapor until processed at higher heat, but have also had herbs that barely produced vapor regardless of heat. Sometimes the herbs are "bunk".
