    FlowerMate Vapormax V/V5.0/V5.0S/V5 Pro

Hey, at least it's not like that silly 'loading light' on the bigger models? The one you also can't turn off but that shines through the vents so you also can't cover it up? Stealth seems to have been way down the goals list...... I've been messing with the Devine Tribe attys (first rate for...

Yer welcome. Like I said, you're far from alone in 'coming back to the factory' stems. I was big on the bent one as well (drove me up the wall when they'd rotate on their own, led to the o-ring fix) but then came 'full circle' to the straight stems again a year or so later. And of course...

I think what that smell is is condensate inside the unit from prior use evaporating off with the heat, you don't even have to have a stem loaded to get some of that smell going? I'm also of the opinion that some strains are worse/better in this respect than others. OF

Really? I'm not so sure about that 'touch the metal and spoil the taste' idea. I've sure never noticed it and I've done a pretty large number of stems. The metal, in theory, is temperature regulated to a temperature (say 390F) where you get vapor and not burning (the whole idea of a vape)...

    Discontinued Elevape SV

Yep. I used Silicone tube to connect to a bubbler usually used on vape pens: I've also used longer tubes to link bigger bubblers, but somehow that seems all wrong..... The above bubbler won't spill but it does make putting it in your pocket harder. OF

We discussed this a while back. It's 'Kapton' tape (du Ponte's name for it): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kapton I advise against messing with it. OF

    Arizer Solo

If it's a short version, that's to be expected really? There's less herb in there to make vapor......therefore less vapor? I also suspect you're drawing too hard. Unlike blazing (where more airflow means more fire and more heat), the heat available to make vapor is fixed. Drawing cold air in...

Thanks. How sure are you about that model number? I can find "Tesla Nano" in 60 and 100 W, but not 40? Interesting mod, internal battery, although larger than many? OF

This being the Air thread I'd think most would say yes to 'is Air the best vape under $200?'. Ask the same question on the Solo thread and I bet you'd get a different answer. Many of us have both. Either is a solid choice, depending on your specific needs/wants one is no doubt better than the...

I haven't tried one, but assuming it's default Ni setting is the same as on other Mods (like iStick TC40W, Invader, VTC Mini, Cuboid, etc), which I think is also called "Nickle 200", a temperature setting of 230F or so is on par with what we've seen in those other Mods. However, if (like the...

Not stupid at all. In fact most folks don't even have it right. We 'celebrate' it as a date (there's a joke here, 'George Washington never told a lie (the story about his confessing to cutting down his father's favorite Cherry tree being 'proof'), now they sell used cars on his birthday (used...

    The Arizer Air

If you're sure it's 5VDC (center positive) you can use a razor blade or utility knife to slice a bit of the rubber off, if you look closely at the photo I posted above that the doughnut I sliced off the bottom one (it was like the center before) using the tape as a guide. I've done this mod...

    The Arizer Air

You're welcome, I hope it helps. Strangely the basic connector is pretty common and already used on Solo (at 12VDC however) so Arizer uses a not so common custom connector, longer than most that fit, so you don't pick wrong and shove 12VDC in instead of the five needed (fatal to the Air most...

Gentle Friends, Good news, another potentially useful Mod for us! So I ordered the iStick TC100W (not to be confused with the TC40W we already know about). While the 40W version is tiny (a plus IMO) and can run either TC (although we have to convert the requested temperature to match the...

http://blog.sfgate.com/smellthetruth/2016/04/12/watch-canadas-first-national-marijuana-advertisement/ This is pretty cool, top notch national media advertising. The social positives of Pot Growing. The article predicts we'll be seeing the same sort of stuff from California Growers groups...

    The Arizer Air

I'll second that, a put it a bit more firmly: AFAIK there have been no reported on board charging circuit failures......but plenty of cable/connector failures. Look for the issue right where the cable leaves the connector, it often ends up with a right angle bend there (unlike say Solo)...

Thanks for the additional information. So it never stops flashing? Another indication of battery (power) issues. The fact that a fresh battery works normally indicates to me there is no problem with the Air. Sounds like you're pushing your batteries too hard. OF

I'd say about zero. Precision molded glass parts don't work out well, the material is too soft when it comes out and 'sags' out of shape. Ceramic, OTOH, is typically molded as 'slip' (think 'clay soup') poured into plaster molds which draw out the moisture. Parts come out dry and hard enough...

I'm not so sure I'd rush into thinking the maximum current (or any other) ratings on 'name brand' batteries aren't accurate. Look into the details first? There are generally important conditions on the rated claims that guys like to ignore (or maybe don't understand). Rest assured these...
