Tek Evaporation Chamber - build thread

@2clicker but using this and a vacuum, you can evap at very low temps to get the vapor and perserve all the essentials, wouldn't you think? At least with this method, no solvents if I'm reading all this correct.

But wait, this isn't using anything volatile, right? I thought that since you are heating the material and vaporizing the essentials that the vapor then travels to the condenser where it cools and drops your oil into a collector...is my logic sound or am I the batshit crazy one, lol

Hmmm...so we're probably looking at about a grand for the entire setup then? Edit: Wait a sec....since I already have a hot plate, do you think that I could bypass the heated tub attachment and just use my hot plate and a pot of water and possibly save some money, or spend the same and just get...

Tek Evaporation Chamber - build thread

hehehe, that was the first thing I saw when I googled rotary evaporator, lol. And becuase of that video, that's why I asked the question about a separate chiller and separate vacuum.

You're right...I shouldn't bitch...science takes time and experimentation and all we discussed here is part of that process...need to follow those rules of science...I think 3 and 4 really apply here big time! "Only a few centuries ago, a mere second in cosmic time, we knew nothing of where or...

Tek Evaporation Chamber - build thread

This sounds really good...crap, all this money we've spent trying figure this and that out, we could've just had one of these and add a vacuum pump to it? How about this one @farscaper...

And have to add a vacuum to it as well?

Tek Evaporation Chamber - build thread

Ok...so I read it...I will attempt to dumb down...essentially we are vaporizing plant material, taking that vapor, condensing it, and claiming the resulting oil? That evaporator you linked here...you would have to add something to it to keep the distiller part chilled right? And the final...

    Concentrates for Noobs - Q&A

Bro, you know where to go to find one when it's needed...got mine on the bay for just a little more than you paid for your NuWave(hindsight, I should have just bought both of them and just sent one to you and you could have just made little payments to me for it), but I have seen really good...

    Concentrates for Noobs - Q&A

Completely agree with what @farscaper is saying. I had mentioned the size and plate stuff since I'm pretty sure not too many people have the hot plate I have and I did have that issue with the induction cooktop I used to use. I've noticed that with my lab hot plate, only the extreme edges aren't...

    Concentrates for Noobs - Q&A

Lmao @NickDlow  @herbivore21 I think the biggest is a little over 5 inches in diameter IIRC. I actually like that since every hot plate I've used as you to the outer edge you start to lose heat.

    Concentrates for Noobs - Q&A

Yes, even a little flex will make a significant difference for sure. Although, it would take a little more effort if it didn't flex and you would of course have to use Teflon or silicon tools, but it will still be way less effort than scraping.

    Concentrates for Noobs - Q&A

You guys must not look at my links, lol, j/k...I posted back there a couple different 400mL dishes, two different brands, nice that we have a lot of places to get this from, even though it is all pretty much one or two brands. Oh ya...calling out @herbivore21 again...no tek secrets bro! lol...

Slightly off topic...man, between this thread and the evap chamber (and some others), we dropping some nasty science 'round here! :science: @Tachead alrighty then...I just told @farscaper in a pm that I might get one to try out...but I may wait to hear from you about what you hear from the...
