you can cap the basket with another screen, but you only add restriction... I don't believe many put a cap on it, but really nothing much falls in. If it does, you can easily blow it out.

I have not used Nano glass in YEARS. From the day I got my first Eds, the experience was exponentially better than with glass. Having a fixed screen depth also helps tremendously with consistent extraction.
