Which rubber formulation are you assuming they use? Post 48715 mentioned water. Ask any 3D printing aficionado about what that microscopic bit of moisture can do. And the most common ISO available is rubbing alcohol. 70% ISO is 30% water with the agent to carry it into permeable materials.

True and dubious... What I am missing in the analogy is the temp at extraction. In the column, you might have different temps, but the extraction determined the molecule in the column. That is what people are doing when stepping temps by 5 or 10 degrees. They extract the low hanging fruit...

o-ring silicone. I am just saying that silicone, rubber, and many plastics absorb water. An IH can boil this moisture and rupture the material on a microscopic level.

Silicone takes in water. With an IH, that could shorten the life of the o-rings. However, they seem to be pretty stout as mine have seen a lot of abuse and they are still holding the VC perfectly.

@The Maker - I still find my wooden stems to be very effective at cooling at around 5" of free-length before reaching the mouth. I also find that this configuration doesn't rob me of very much vape honey either.

No of course not. But if I inquire, I would expect the information freely including the source and specification so I may confirm the material ratings. Inquiring as to certification of material brought into the warehouse is the only way to know they are actually using what they say they use...
