No not at all , the stems can smell a little if you don't clean them. After a few uses some resin builds up in the stem but it's as easy as what I said above , just give them a cleaning after every few uses. It barely gives off a order while in use and if outdoors vaping you prob wouldn't smell...

Mine gives the slightest smell while heating up with herb loaded. Very little while vaping and your stems will have a odor if you do not regularly clean them wich is as easy as shaking in a bit of alchohol and salt after a few sessions .
