The Peak is a cold start device that you load, then start heat. You cant do a HUGE dab in the peak, while the VB2 can take anything. Residues burn off the heating surface on the "Cheesebox" (old nickname for my VB2), and are completely gone. The peak gets cleaned while still hot... by wiping...

Just to mention a few: The dab surface is not exposed, so you can not get burned It can not spatter , it is enclosed. You can not miss the target with your dabber. The dab surface is at the bottom of a "funneled" porcelain...no place else for the dab to land.

Look at your atomizer. @tylerj55 pointed that out to me... It is the biggest cause of blinking lights and shut-down that has come up. I had same issue, and screwed the atomizer in a bit more tightly, and unit works magnificently.

No I do not. I always leave the unit sitting on a flat surface. After a number of good dabs, it becomes very warm to the touch. This tool is not a convection tool. This is a hot surface made for dabbing. This is a "Concentrate Converter".

Just speaking for myself, I prefer the ceramic. (especially when kept clean.). The quartz is easier to clean and restore like new, but the ceramic for whatever reason tastes best to me.

A user has to know wooden grinders, and love the wood, so bud should be broken up by hand when using a wooden grinder.... to get rid of the bud's main little twig/stem.The Vapor Brothers Grinder can give me a coarse or medium/fine grind depending on moisture content and time spent twisting.
