Sounds like the flame is too low or far away. Usually when people have trouble with these they are charring, if you're not even getting a hit it sounds like you've still got a lot of room to play with.

You load hash directly into the bowl and put the liquid pad on top of the hash? When I did that it gunked up the conduction ring and the screen above the heater. I always use the Mighty until vapor stops producing.

Would the insert replace the ceramic cup or sit on top and use that as the heater?

Are you using dosing capsules? I felt like hash made a big mess in my Mighty.

Sounds like you should just grab an induction heater for your vapcap. Only other vapes I'd probably be looking at are Vapman and a Brick for hash. Now a desktop powerhouse on the other hand would be a great choice for an electric vape for hash.

In reality I would say this thread is actually going a lot better than the last desktop vaporizer that used a soldering iron heater
