VapCap DIY Induction Heating : Bits 'n' pieces

Maybe not quite up for the task. Looking for a smaller form factor cap. The PCB is for the FET control circuit. I've completely isolated the caps and the ferrit'd coils from the PCB. The only connections to the PCB is the 3 lead-wires from the hard-wired sub-assembly using the 14 gauge...

I see no reason why not. Definitely want a report  ...please :D @scy123 - I just read 0.27 ohm on an original Moad Dib wide screen [original issue] using the TMII.

Made in Latvia :D Our use case has very little to do with the normal use of these - heat treating metals. We just want a little warmth in a hurry. This is worth linking... https://tubedepot.com/products/solen-fast-cap-47uf-630v

@Abysmal Vapor - I'm getting very consistent readings with the Launch Box at 0.08 ohms. Muad Dib will be much higher.

Funny, the board says 18v(?)/5a which is 90 watts, not 300 watts advertized. That unit is sizable though. Edit; finally... zener is 12v!

Previous generation f/w from the TMII. Swag manual says it will do 0.05 ohm - https://www.vaporesso.com/hubfs/imgs/downloads/manual/Swag_Manual.pdf What did you find for a deal?

Sorry, yes, the DNA would be an inverter. Somehow the 3.6v from the cell needs to be brought down to 1.8V or less. 1.8V would be 30 watts or about 18 amps of power. That doesn't convert without some serious components.

I think it is missing the crucial component, the inverter... or you got something in mind?

VapCap DIY Induction Heating : Bits 'n' pieces

I'm thinking this is another Lego set. You have 2 puck options; full power capable or the 1/2-Pint Reheater. Each will take the 700mah cell or a cord back to the power source. The Full unit will also accept a 'local' 8.4V pack (18650) or a 12.6V pack with a 12.6v|8.4V switch. Alternative...

Too funny. Someone is cost cutting. 120W => 100W. Yes, that is what I was planning to do with the coil that has the ferrite.

Swag's bump will clear the box below and likely behind the box. I too am impressed by the Gen. I will probably pick up a Swag 2 to see where the firmware is on these newer units.

    The Magic-Flight Box

Anything over 30 watts will be overkill for the Launch Box. The Swag II says it can take a 25mm tank. Measurements say it will fit in at least one orientation, and most likely will fit in 3, two of which are useful. That one is worth trying when they go on sale. And it is the latest...
