I usually temp step and only stir once before my last hit (10 on the dial) and end up with pretty uniform AVB. A few people here also said that @dzoinp screen mod helps on getting more even AVB

I think the only risk is to combust your material because the TM possibly shout a higher temp than what's on your temp dial before settling to the right/desired temperature. Otherwise I don't think there is any real risk to damage the TM (but let's see what others say).

I prefer using the regular front end natively. I find the PFE to be a lot hotter and quicker. I also find the vapor heat coming from the regular front end more manageable :2c:

I also have both and would choose the TM over the FW7 because it's easier to load/unload (just suck/blow through the stem), there is no real need to temp the bowl so no tool needed, you can charge the battery internally, with the temp dial you have always a simple access to the whole temp range...

I don't see how it's possible to push that screen by accident. In 1,5 year of usage it never happened to me and I'm not carefully at when I insert the stem. I just now took out that screen+ ring to try to dislodge it with the stem and it's almost impossible accept if is at a certain angle and...

No, no real need to put your temp dial on 10 at any moment to enter TA. After your many clicks on 1, you can put the temp dial anywhere above 1 :)
