That is the battery indicator I am talking about. When it's full and you turn it on, it flashes blue/white then it goes off and then it'll show a colored light real quick. Then go idle

When you turn it on, as it beeps it flashes a white light, right after that it'll flash green really quick for full battery. I bought mine from puffitup and it has the battery indicator. I doubt there was any other software changes I suggest not worrying about the "latest model" and simply enjoy.
