    Re-vaping avb.

Could also extract with Everclear (high percentage alcohol). Shake it for a few minutes in a mason jar, let it sit for an hour, shake again and strain it through a coffee filter (green dragon). Then reduce by half to strengthen it. Outside with a rice cooker or instant pot and using a...

    Vaporizer for a joint smoker?

Dynavap with butane just means you use the butane lighter to heat the metal and then inhale (no butane in the air path). All advice above is sound. Consider a j-hook or small water piece for cooling the hot air. I’m sensitive to hot dry air on the throat and you might be as well. Check out the...

'The Misty Log' - DIY wooden Log Vaporizer

Yeah, you may like it less. I had a solo 2 but sold it. I prefer the log but that's a preference. We're all different. I did try the log with a 10 or 12" glass tube / stem recently but I prefer the dhgate dimpled jhook a lot more for the cooling it provides.

'The Misty Log' - DIY wooden Log Vaporizer

@newSSE Alan with Heat Island makes a log vape with 7/16" heater cover that he says works well with the arizer stems. The problem I see is that the airizer is more conduction and a log is more convection. So you may end up enjoying the convention high more and may also want a j-hook to cool the...

'The Misty Log' - DIY wooden Log Vaporizer

@Stompopolos - Great idea and will love to see it when you can share. Also found these small butt connectors work well to hold the wires together when soldering (pinch with needle nose pliers). And of course use lead free solder. I set my soldering iron temp to 710*F. Happy crafting.

Vaping minimalism (the opposite of VAS?)

I'm more of a minimalist and have four. The reason is that they function similarly in that they get me high on a lot less herb than combusting. Also I'm cheap and vapes aren't. I bought and soon sold the Solo 2. The other vapes I've bought and kept are: a HI log, a Dynavap, a Vapman, and a...

    Log vape question.

@JBone65 - I know your HI is your daily driver like me, but you've got to try the paper roasting tube if you have not. I prefer it and so does @Alan and that dude is freaking smart at engineering. https://fuckcombustion.com/threads/paper-roasting-tubes.51923/

    Log vape question.

I was thinking the same thoughts yesterday. Tried the poly on glass wpa again recently. It has a metal roasting tube and the fit is loose. I immediately went back to a rolled up paper tube sitting on top of a glass wpa held there with silicone tubing. I much prefer the rolled up paper chamber...

'The Misty Log' - DIY wooden Log Vaporizer

@brainiac - Thanks for the compliment. Your work is top notch in comparison. I'd like to think I'm just getting started with a new hobby making the "medical roaster." They work really well with my narrow paper tube herb chamber. I plug in and hit it a minute or two after and take a few hits as...

'The Misty Log' - DIY wooden Log Vaporizer

The three on left I built. The fourth is a Heat Island (figured walnut). It's the only log I've seen in person prior to building the three to the left. All have 24v30w printer cartridges. From left to right is order built. First is 2" diameter wood from Home Depot. Next two are 1 3/4" diameter...

'The Misty Log' - DIY wooden Log Vaporizer

I like this thread. It's inspired me to build some log vapes of my own. Have a couple built with 3/8" heater covers. They work as well as the one purchased. Third build is using a 11mm of x 10.6mm id heater cover and will test @brainiac's foil poncho idea.

Where do we go now? Improving our cannabis relationship.

The brain is like the most fascinating thing out there. Psychologyand Buddhism fascinate me these days. I've been trying to meditate a half an hour a day in the morning ,most days, for the past year. It's not easy but has allowed me to watch my thought patters while meditating which is...

Where do we go now? Improving our cannabis relationship.

I really enjoyed reading this thread. Congratulations on the successful life change career wise. Herb for me is a thing I really enjoy. I may consume as often or more often than you but not nearly as much. Maybe dosing smaller amounts could help? I've found a little goes a long way with my heat...

Perception of cannabis users in legal vs illegal areas

I completely relate. It sucks to have to keep a secret and not be able to be your authentic self free from worry of discrimination. Keeping our habit a secret or partially secret is in my opinion unhealthy psychologically. I guess perceptions change slowly. In the US I think the west coast is...

Modern log vape vs Arizer desktop with d dave mod

Good to hear you're sold. You won't regret a log vape. Underdog vapes seems like a wise choice to me. I'd reach out and ask when their next batch should be available.

    Second Vaporiser

Log vapes are wonderful. Underdog for under $200. Convection offers better flavor and high imo.

    The GTR

$100 for the square wood ones. Vvps is about $20. Send a kind email stating what you want and he should get back to you. I think he wants to move the GTRs more than the logs but that's my guess. His work is quality.

    Micro-dosing

So I got a scale. It arrived today and I think it'll be a good tool. I'd say it's accurate to the .001 gram. It calibrated quick. Then from a start I added the 1.5 gram plastic mini-tray it comes with and then .021 grams of ground flower. Good to know what .02 grams looks like. I plan to measure...
