It's a shut off timer. Mine does it once and a while. It happens when you zone out from getting too high lol. Normally I finish within 4 minutes give or take. Or I'm taking big hits as well.

You always want to press on lower heat. I've tried medium and low heat. The lower heat produces a higher yeild as it does not vaporizer the rosin that has been pressed out.
