COTTON! I get some on a chopstick or similar tool, by dipping. i unroll a cotton ball and collect it all with the end of the unrolled cotton, I roll the cotton strip around that to the size of my wand. I have vaped some RSO. I used only convection vapes.. and glass as in SSV, Da Buddha (etc....)...

I always go with straight silver metal. Even my once owned titanium coated space case had issues. I do not know which manufacturing flaw it could be. The spots were missed during anodizing. Anodized coating done and stressor test during twist, there may have been a partner piece that was cut...

I do not think you caused any issue by your use methods. I have a feeling you may be over-analyzing the issue, but S&B responds to inquiries and that may be a good place to begin, and may put your concerns at ease.
