    Ispire Wand, enail&vaporizer

That's not really a temperature adjustment. It's just a timer that's calibrated to the banger cups which come with the Wand--if you're using those, it's designed to heat long enough to reach the set temp. With the Dyna, just use the clicks. With other devices, like the Tempest, people figure out...

    Venty by Storz & Bickel

I don't own a Venty, but they did replace my Mighty out of warranty. It was only a few months past. The problem was a cracked housing, just above the bowl where the CU interfaces. It failed when I was using the S&B CU, but I had installed an aftermarket WPA on it, and I think that may have led...

    Dynavap VapCap

So, this product designed to add smoky flavor to bourbon is being sold as a gravity bong. I've watched a demo video for the GravInfuse, and it looks like a fun party favor (if I were a drinker). But rebranded as a GraviToke it doesn't seem to make much sense. Can anyone explain how to access the...

It does look convenient, but you're one cough away from blowing your heater full of water.

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I like to take bubble hash, roll it out flat, and place it on top of the load. I leave enough space around the edges of the flattened disc for air flow, and I use a heating profile which would normally scorch the top of the load. I also leave enough head space above the hash to avoid contact...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I originally ordered a ti/rosewood, but when Brenyo requested that we switch to black if possible, I changed to the black/rosewood. I'm really glad I did. I didn't see it until I got it in hand, but it echoes the aesthetics of the classic briar pipes with their black stems. My grandfather always...

    Hookahhead_MD Custom glass vape accessories

Thank you, @Hookahhead_MD! I sent in my Triple Maria WPA for some fine tuning, to try to achieve a tighter fit. It was just a little too loose to use confidently with the Tempest/Reload combination. The friction-fit of the head wasn't enough to overcome the force of the Reload's magnet. Brian...

I don't like watching my Tempest glow like that. Even on the lowest power, the Inuductor lights up the Tempest. I feel like spinning is mandatory to avoid spot-welding the induction sleeve to the head. Okay, I know it's not that hot, but still, it feels like too much. I was using it with my...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Since none of Brenyo's design is accidental, I'd say it's the center of the VI, where there's a corresponding mark. But I also wouldn't get too fixated on what others are reporting in terms of VI alignment--I don't think it's that consistent from device to device. I think the VI is most useful...

best tasting dry herb vaporisers according to you?

While I'm currently loving the Tempest, and it's certainly in the running here, I'm going to give the nod to the Rogue Wax Works QC 14. Nothing tastes cleaner than pure glass, and with the right heating it's almost all convection. In fact, I think you could go with most anything from @RogueGuy...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I was already set in my ways from the Revolve before I scored a beta. To me, the best way to realize the full design potential of the device is using the helix tube with the stem open, with the screen at half-bowl. I initiate the hit with the carb closed, which primes the load, and then feather...

Has the steel in the induction sleeve been improved for IH use over the beta version? It feels like my Wand is more effective with the new sleeves.

You are correct, and thanks for the detailed explanation! Add to the list of why I love supporting artisan makers: the willingness to improve and support their creations, even when dealing with pain-in-the-ass customers. And I only got a minor burn, mostly my fault, so I'm glad to give it...

Agreed. It may have come up on this thread, or some other social media, but I had no idea when I ordered one from @VGOODIEZ. It's beautiful, and I want to love it, but it's not usable in the context of the tempest/reload workflow. I also tried it with DVs and a Vestratto USA, and it's not much...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Yup; the circumference of the screen is following the threads. Since threads are a continuous spiral ramp, one end of the circumference needs to be higher than the other. The split in the screen basically allows it to become a single-thread screw.

I haven't tried the VHB, but my @Camouflet Inductor is at least as effective as a torch for the Anvil.

Looks cool, but it's a soft flame, not a torch. Not ideal for our purposes. Edit: Oops; @SockPuppetTheatrics set me straight--there is a torch version. I also like the looks of that one, but I'd written it off in the past because I'd only seen the soft flame type.
