I use the tubing from my SSV, 1" length, to mate the straw with MV lid nipple. I do have to replace the tubing piece now and then because it gets stretched over time from usage/heat and doesn't 'grip' as well with the MV cap nipple. @Kommyknocker meant to ask you since you have had the battery...

I have an Ascent also. I still went with the one piece wide thick glass straw, I chose 9" length, since it's better at keeping the vapor cooler for longer.

I bought a 12mm (0.5") wide glass straw. Just do a search for 12mm wide glass straw and you will have plenty of choices. I found mine on eBay.

This is the way I use the TCmV dry pretty much always. Tried a bunch other ways early on but always come back to this. I'll throw it in the fridge/freezer to chill it. I use an over sized glass straw mated with some tubing that fits over the MV lid nipple. Agree, taste is cool and delicious.:tup:

I will have to try that today. Really didn't think that using just the small SS ring would add to cloud production given it's small surface area.

This is where I would rather Hermes head direction wise. Having seven settings will be a great addition, but creating an app like with the Crafty where the user can dial in their temp of choice would be perfect. I did exactly this also. @OnCloud8 you should expect no issues with VN, well, the turnaround time is painful. Expect three weeks minimum. It's SOP for VN so be patient.

After 55 days my MV replacement from VN arrived yesterday. Teflon core. Blue and pink are perfect with glass straw. Wonderful clouds....amazed. I missed the taste....now it's back. To play my broken record again, hopefully number three is a keeper....I'll know in about a months time based on...

@bigmouth as far as I know there is more inventory of the silver. Don't quote me though, but I'm pretty sure I'm right about that. No black units from what I was told, several gold available and silver in stock with no mention of how many units.

It is good they stand behind what they sell, but truth be told in this situation I probably would have had a quicker resolve to this if I had just sent it to Hermes, even with them being on the other side of the pond. Oh well. It'll all be OK in the end.
