    Discontinued Purple-Days Vaporizer

Perhaps overkill but the price differential is negligible, so I'd rather just pay a few more cents per foot and have peace of mind. Agreed on the not including the tubing with the package, like AofZ said, just add it in the "tips" section or whatever...

    Discontinued Purple-Days Vaporizer

Tom, I use about a 6 inch tube. The link to the tubing that you had shared in an earlier post, I noticed that the highest temp you should use it for was under 200 degrees. May I recommend this one? This one had the highest, maximum working temp (400 degrees) that I found...

DIY Hakko + SSV Heater Cover

Send him another email, I know he has been traveling, surprised he didn't get back to you, I asked him if there were any outstanding emails he hasn't answered and he said "no" Maybe it got caught in the spam filter. Either way, might be worth reaching out to him one more time. I am in no way...

    Discontinued Purple-Days Vaporizer

I agree with Tom, it ain't broke, so no need to fix it. I love the PD as it is, if anything, I'd like to turn the temp slightly down on mine just a teeny, tiny bit to avoid overcooking the herb (not that it does, I just like lower temp vaping and it's effects)

    possible waterfall vaping?

You are indeed correct, I have experimented with this concept and while novel, I just do not think it is as effective with smoke as it is with vapor. With smoke you can really, really milk it for what it?s worth. My hypothesis with vapor is that because you can only use up to a certain...

DIY Hakko + SSV Heater Cover

The Dash also gets waaaaaaaaaaaay to hot to use on it's own, 842 degrees! As much as I love the DIY mentality, for $80, you might as well spend another 20 and get the VRIPwand as it has the heat controller built in, and the rest of the goodies that come along with it. I think a better use of...

    Discontinued Purple-Days Vaporizer

Tom, those alternate woods are absolutely beautiful. I might even buy one for a friend of mine who is a chronic smoker and is overweight, I think that since i can't control what he eats, maybe I can control how he smokes/vapes...

    Herborizer Tube Review

When I initially bought my Herbo, I got the tube incorrectly sent to me. I told Seb that I requested the sphere but wanted to try the tube just in case I liked it. I did like the tube a lot but ultimately, since my skin around my mouth is sensitive, I sent it back for the sphere. Upon getting...

DIY Hakko + SSV Heater Cover

KC, did you just stick the heater cover onto a regular bowl? I am very impressed with your creativity as I was reading through your instructions. I did some research on those Hakko heating elements and based on my initial research, seem to be much "better" than the 30 watt Solomon's that are...

DIY Hakko + SSV Heater Cover

Sorry, didn't mean to sound like some elitest vapor snob, it's just that I've only smoked about 10 times since the new millenium and it is very important for me to know that I am never over-vaping my herb. I know the ins and outs for all the vaporizor's I own but my preference is for the one...

DIY Hakko + SSV Heater Cover

I see your point, there is definitely some skill that you would need to pull something like that off. I'm a bit more particular when it comes to my vapor and I like very precise heating temperatures for "optimal" vapor, I never revape any of my AVB at a higher temp and I never vape it beyond a...

DIY Hakko + SSV Heater Cover

you mean just hold it further away from the vaping area? I'm thinking that would be quite difficult and then you would lose your air/vapor ratio because there won't be a seal with the heating element. But I do agree with you, I already have the VRIPwand and no matter what I use to modify the...

DIY Hakko + SSV Heater Cover

I was feeling all inspired to make my own heat wand with the Mach series of Hakko soldering irons, the rep I spoke with said that this one can most quickly react to heat changes but I didn't know I'd have to get a heat controller also :( With the price of the controller and soldering iron, I...

DIY Hakko + SSV Heater Cover

duhhhhhhhhhhh, thanks VC...geez I can be slow sometimes, which iron temp controller? I guess when you throw the temp controller into the equation, the price then goes up quite a bit. I was checking the Hakko website and the one I want is 200 :o
