I would try measuring without the fan on , i don't think Arizer is doing these tests with the fan on but what the heck do i know. It's very rare i use the fan anyway unless i am doing a bag , breath control produces some lung busters for me.

Mine acts the same way. Heat it up it usually goes about 5 degrees higher and when i hit it , it fluctuates a few degrees up & down.

That is really nice , the leather looks great. It's a 10yr investment , than the pax 2's warranty is up , should last even longer. A bit pricey for my taste , I use a eyeglass case , fits my pax 2 , tools , cloth and a dube tube. Def not as nice as your case though , enjoy it.
