Yes, would like to at least have the option to try on the EVO. Did not see a picture of a cream coloured one? It's quickly becoming a favourites, as it's perfect for the quick 4-5 hits. I bet a piece of medical tubing would work great for the heat.

I'm looking at getting an extra UFO and wondering what the differences are between the Delrin and the high temperature PTFE month pieces? And what colour is the PTFE? Thanks, Pipes

The AVA I recieved last January had a lip at the top and might get in the way of a drip shield, however a friend recieved one a couple weeks back and it had no lip and was the same as normal atomizers physically so should not be a problem.

I found a very interesting spread sheet on another forum. Shows some numbers which give a good idea on a starting point for coil resistance. What this graph does not should is actual temperature as it changes with the wire gauge. Thinner = Hotter which is a critical area when you don't overly...

Looks good. Where did you get the spring from and more important is the material vapor path safe? Just asking as playing it safe is always best. Pipes

Me too. Before they sold the RES. Same one that's on the T1. Odd it does'nt come with it as it makes a huge difference in appearance. Pipes

I noticed they do not have the Delrin sleeve option as yet? Special order maybe. Pipes

It has a sexier look for the uniy as well. With the exception of the leak collector this uniy wins hands down. :2c:

Thanks for the info. Kept hearing IMR come up. Take it they are inherently safe like LifePo4? Better then relying on electronics. Cheers, Pipes

You have yourself a time proven classic there. Was my first as well. Low maintenance and just click and relax. Only draw back is you need to make the time for it. It is possible to stop and start again later but needs that initial warm up time again. Enjoy it, Pipes

Been looking into changing over my batteries to a different technology rather then Lifepo4. The reason been I have gone through 20 batteries since January with the T1. Now with lesser load would it not be logical to go to a more suitable technology? Or stay with ordering new current type and...

Thanks, that is a great tip. Never got instruction manual but that would have been nice to know. I tried a couple times but, if normal, I never though an extra step would be involved. I might need to work it in a bit. :) Oh, been reading back a bit, what's a UFO and what was the finial "spring"...

Mine does the exact same thing. Feels good cold. Although the tip falls out fairly easily. When hot it more or less just sits on it loosely. The O ring does very little but helps with air leakage. Tried pushing ring up a groove but ends up back down. I thought this was just normal?? Pipes

OK, almost there. I think..... Sounds like the scale is correct. So we have a measure of 2 on the core. What does it measure when you short the leads together? Around 1? Anyway the resistence should be 2 minus that number. Pipes

 Change the selector to ohms, lowest setting. Short the leads together and confirm it reads zero. If not there should be a "relative 0" calibration button. If not just note the reading and subtract it off what you measure. The probes need to measure the elements thus easiest with core...

A quick update and a couple pics. Found a (temporary??) solution to the external heat. Yet another use for that medical rubber tubing. And the unit all fired up from the inside the tube. (excuse the residue) Have found you have to take it slow on the first couple pulls as it will...

If you have a third standard coil your going to have one hell of a brute there. Yes, in theory it will be 33% hotter. Hold back on the reins as it should require some technique change.?? Good stuff, Pipes

Any chance you have an ohm meter around? If you have a 3rd coil the same as the other two it will measure around .7 ohm. You would need to make sure you zero the meter with test leads shorted first. (At this low of resistance leads can make a huge difference.) For sure you should be aware of...
