Ok, I Googled (lol) this and it and part of the problem is the British press has to worry more about being sued than the American press does...

It will never cease to amaze me that people who have been wrong about literally everything continue to get paid six figures per year for their opinions. And a lot of them are employed by the NYT. The balls on this guy. Saying this while getting paid $300k a year to write about 400 words of...

I don't think Google is 100% responsible. Neither does the family... Rainy nighttime conditions aren't exactly the same as clear daytime conditions though. There's less visibility. Roads are slick. You can't stop as fast. And drivers generally don't assume the road in front of them is...

You could try letting the driver know that, but he's dead. I agree though. Google, a nearly 2 trillion dollar company, should take responsibility for their actions. It's not like it was a sunny day and he stupidly drove off a bridge because the GPS told him to. Is Google 100% responsible...

As a society we have to decide if we want the future to be Star Trek or Cyberpunk. Almost a quarter of the way into the 21st century, it's pretty clear we're choosing the latter. My guess is after brain chips become as ubiquitous as smart phones, any time you try and access a memory of your...

No it looks like I'm remembering their relationship wrong. In my defense they very much look alike. Apologies to the FC community, but I have a plan to improve my memory: https://arstechnica.com/health/2023/09/musks-neuralink-seeks-volunteers-for-brain-implants-whos-in/

I feel like this headline was designed in a lab specifically to give me psychic damage. Yeah, when he says the UAW is risking OUR economy, he's right. They're asking that the car manufacturers stop spending an insane amount of revenue on stock buybacks to enrich executives (who do very little...

I love it when former Obama advisors write stupid shit like this in the Paper of Record. I also love throwing "the election" in there. The O'Bungler surrounding himself with ghouls like this guy in '09 directly lead to Trump riding into the White House in '16.

The funny thing is, this is already sort of happening. The soot, sulfur dioxide etc that comes from burning fossil fuels kills about 10 million people per year globally. But.... all that soot also reflects some sunlight back into space, slightly reducing the effect of CO2 emission driven...

I don't think dabbers understand how bizarre we look to the uninitiated. The q-tipping after every dab comes across as some OCD shit. But now... I see dabbers dunking these terp slurpers in ISO after every dab. Like they have one of those three-compartment sinks bartenders use. The...

This graph is a great example of how "inflation" has worked over the past 3 years. The Big Three's materials costs went up 20%. Their labor costs went up 4-5%. But they increased prices by 34%. So like 10% of the price increases is just straight up gouging.
