    Discontinued The Grasshopper

I got my M. It's an orange, that is to say the GH is an apple. A hopper and an M though, such a great pair. They complement each other quite nicely for the old multi vape session. Still climbing the learning curve though, but I love the Dynavap M equally to the Grasshopper. Both are absolutely...

    Herb Grinders

but even more important than that, is what goes into it. It's all about exploding buds in a controlled fashion, and the buds are really what make all the difference. As long as it ends up as intended, the grinder shouldn't even really be considered beyond its time of service. For efficient...

Slyme for the FlowerPot - TAG 12" Bent Neck!

Looks like you've made a good decision to me. I love slyme and have been using a sublimator recently, which is a similar set up to the FP in some ways. That style piece will pair with the FP very nicely, and the perc should be ideal too. Here's my slyme rig, I recently got a new adapter made...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

Yeah, they told me that as they received their stock of plain metal PFEs (I was adding one to my RMA), so I guess the anodisation process is underway now. I ended up buying my mate a plain Ti instead of bronze to speed up shipment, I think the plain metal is worth considering as it doesn't look...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

I was told July 21 that anodised PFEs were likely around 3 weeks away, so they should have stock soon

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

I haven't noticed any major differences, however new batteries will perform markedly better than batteries 6 month old or beyond. Thank you :) I have high hopes, it would be nice, but I think realistically, under the usage I was giving it, the GH would always eventually give in. Without the...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

Yeah, see how you go with it but as long as you're careful poking around in the chamber, the screen doesn't do much other than offer a little extra protection. .. I got shipping notification yesterday of my warranty return with some new batteries, I'm keen to have a working hopper again. My...

Early models didn't have the screen, maybe you could just leave it out if it keeps trapping gunk?

PBW & the Chemistry of Clean

well naked eye detection under artificial light (such as display lighting) showing nasty corrosive streaky deposits on artisan pieces is enough for me to change my methods, but only for some pieces

PBW & the Chemistry of Clean

yeah it's definitely a concentration issue, but it might be worth it to examine the glass surface with a powerful cree led torch, I spotted some on my SoL tube, but it's not a permanent scar so it's not the end of the world. They are pretty bloody hard to get rid of though!

PBW & the Chemistry of Clean

I noticed this just recently myself - and I have a few ideas to share about it. The stains are hard to see without looking for them, and are probable for everyone doing a soak and sit style cleaning, this can easily allow for residue to form on the outside of the glass, and generally the...

Pax has come out with a 3 piece, apparently it's a collaboration with SCS Very little info, but could be one to watch. I found a little write up "The PAX grinder has been designed to grind your material down to a fine material that is great for use with vaporizers. Ensuring that your material...

PBW & the Chemistry of Clean

It's interesting that there's a distinct line from clear glass to the swirly marked glass where the downstem meets the can. Could it be possible that this is a borosilicate imperfection that has formed in just that component of the glass? It seems unlikely because of the one clear spot, but it...

PBW & the Chemistry of Clean

I had some good success today with water from a kettle off a combustion stove, super hot. It makes it hard to handle the piece though, what I do is bung the rig and fill it to the brim with it standing in a sink, rotate it around so there's no air bubbles in it. You'll want to do this to avoid...

PBW & the Chemistry of Clean

Long PBW soaks insinuates that the solution is cold for the major duration, this limits its cleaning potential. From what I have observed, cold PBW isn't much good without scrubbing. To use an abrasiveless approach, I would suggest it is near vital to have hot temperature water. I normally just...

PBW & the Chemistry of Clean

Both of those soak times are very long, I usually soak with PBW for ~5-10 minutes. The trick is hot water from what I've seen, but that's mainly in terms of cleaning resin

PBW & the Chemistry of Clean

Fair call, but I would suggest that subsequent PBW washes should adequately rinse away any residuals. Hot water is key to rinsing acetone, it's actually not very risky if you follow an appropriate procedure. Isopropyl alcohol is also toxic, and similarly volatile, and should be handled in the...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

I'm in a similar position currently. I never managed to post my GH away (plain Ti has red then dead), so I'll do it on Monday - but, in the mean time my blue unit has started to show signs of imminent failure. It's taking ages to heat up, it's super annoying. 13 seconds at T4.6 as I just timed...
