most of my sessions start with low temp and i simply build up as i go (last hit makes it dark brown to almost black). i prefer the slower approach to finishing a bowl vs 1-2 hits and done, both for efficiency and experience.

used to play, miss it immensely...glad i at least had the chance to express myself in music, i think it opens up your perspective entirely. my favorite drummers all in one vid here so hard not to post this one...i pretty much idolized weckl and even had similar hair, all gone now lol
