    Discontinued The Sublimator

If I had more to use it with, it would be worth that I guess. But with the Sub, the basic Monkey Controller is just fine, I like the simplicity of it. It's not about dialling in a number so much, or monitoring anything, as it just blasts bud to ABV like nothing else. It's really so simple, so it...

    Discontinued The Sublimator

Can you remember any details about it? I had a look at the HN, damn it's a cool bit of kit. It is a little expensive for what it would offer the Sub, but maybe one day!

Thanks for the heads up, I will suss that out. The 3.0 MC is new from January this year though, so perhaps that could be the new controller? I'll have to look into this HexNail business too, as it does look pretty cool. Ultimately though, @Poostuff is right - I just want my Sub back. And...

    Discontinued The Sublimator

Thanks, I still haven't heard back with the details of how the adapter will work. I will share it here once I find out, it could be just the adapter that needs tweaking, perhaps the polarity is reversed or something. So annoyed I can't just get a 2.0 MC but they have been fully replaced and...

    Discontinued The Sublimator

Hopefully someone can help me out. I've got the XLR 2.0 Dabmaster, but my Monkey Controller just died :'( First the power inlet pried off, and now I think I've short circuited the board and it's probably quite dead, but possibly salvageable. I figured I could just get the new 3.0 controller...

yeah that paints are particularly bad picture, and it sucks that you've gone through all this. It sucks mostly, for all us users, because they did such a bad job taking care of you. Whilst simultaneously making semi-official statements regarding return postage etc. you've been taken on this mad...

Have I been breathing in toxic glass dust for the last 6 months?

I've seen staining just like that on cheap china sourced adapters for my EQ. Compared with the ground glass joints that came in the box, they will stain and can't be cleaned fully (even long soaks in PBW). Although I never discovered glass particles coming from it, I was always a bit dubious...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

That could easily be the case. In my experience, the biggest expense with the GH has been the material I put into it. It greatly eclipses the amount I've spent on GH hardware and upkeep. I guess it depends on how you want to use your material as to whether the prices involved are too great...

    Open Source Glass Thread

I tried to work with a few different Chinese factories to get some things made. Just basic stuff, matrix perc rig with coloured accents etc. What I found was that nearly all of them are only interested in low quality mass production, and one off designs or even product suggestion typically go...

I really like that piece man, function looks spot on. Here's a few blasts of my hopper https://www.instagram.com/p/Baa86CmhVVh/?taken-by=blinkybilson I'd have to say, I've had hoppers more powerful than what I am getting from mine atm. But, it's performing quite well as is. It just takes...

Yeah just for the record. Under the bare metal screen in the herb chamber is the heater cover (was blue, now white) which houses the mounting points (3 solder(?) mounds) and a thermal sensor (central rectangular 'lens', this is the part that's now blue, I think before it was orange/amber)

PBW & the Chemistry of Clean

The less the better, the hotter the water the better. I use about 1/2 tsp to 500mL H2O (straight from a kettle), and I think that's quite concentrated. I have used as much as 1tsp but I think it's too much. For cleaning cheap combustion pieces that's my go to, but for Mobius glass I recommend...

yeah mine was cutting out at about the third flash, so a matter of seconds. It might be all good.. I'd suggest checking either contact for debris of any kind too

That pipe looks the business, nice easy way to take huge hits on the go. Your charger doesn't sound right, I hardly use mine, but I plugged it in to test it out and the LEDs are lit up as normal. Through some holes the light is far dimmer, but out of two or three it's very bright, which is...

PBW & the Chemistry of Clean

PBW makes glass so damn slippery, I'm all about letting some pieces be as stationary as possible in the cleaning process. Others I do as you say. With premixing, you can just pour it in and let it sit, then rinse and that's pretty much it. If I was shaking around, I'd probably prefer salt + alcohol

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

I was swapping between both front ends, standard and PFE, to see which I preferred native. The Standard front-end I prefer for direct draw. However both front ends get 'too hot' after two long hits (20 odd seconds). The PFE warms up less intensively at the opening (as it's so much wider), but...

I don't know, how about you go read it instead of burying it? But to rehash for everyone's convenience and against your earlier wishes, public concerns surrounding off-gassing and material choice were met with legal threat and the false/misleading deceleration that it's a 'silicone free vapour...

It's now a public disgrace IMO. And certainly not a big boy way of sorting shit out, whatever you expect that means. I already have brought it up with Bud mate, one of the few things brought up pages ago that is of interest to me and others.
