I use cotton balls for my regular hash and concentrates. It helps at the end when there's the left over gunk that won't vape, even if I crank it to 445°F. I just toss the gunk and the cotton away when I'm done.

I soak mine in 99% isopropyl alcohol. If it really needs cleaning you can run an alcohol soaked cotton ball through with a clothes hanger. Otherwise platinum silicone tubing is quite inexpensive.

You might want to take into account that the Volcano has huge bags. Volume is hard to judge at times and it could be you're getting the same amount or more vapour.

It's a straight fit that needs to be pressed down to fit tightly on the Herbie stem. I might lathe the Herbie chamber top or the Solid valve if I find that I want a better seal. I'm not going back to the squeezevalves at any rate.
