@canadianleaf Our government controlled likker stores in Alberta have high test EC, but the ones in BC do not. In BC you can buy 99% ISO for $4/litre. What did you use for your initial extraction? Heck, if you just need to soften it up use the rum! But it'll take awhile to evap...

@canadianleaf I'm not sure it was a failure. If in doubt rewet your Pyrex, swish or scrape a bit to get everything off and into liquid, put in a different dish and do it again.

Thanks! I did a first wash on a batch last week and put the leftovers back in the jar, then back in the freezer. I get back tomorrow and will do another rinse of it. And take some pix this time... Besides a mason jar full of dry nugs...

Did you let the base dry out between washes? Or consecutive wet washes?

It's weirdly good to get your thoughts after a few more years of practicing! When I get back to 'the lab' I'm gonna try a couple of comparisons runs between the two, just for my own curiosities sake. It might be all 'seat of pants' unless I can find a scale... Most everything is in storage.
