First off, glad you've recovered enough to get back in the saddle. I'd be interested in knowing if you find the subtle difference I think I do between the Solo/Air and ArGo stems at the start of the session. I'm thinking Solo 'starts harder' that is is a bit more intense flavor wise early on...

Gentle Friends, A possible 'off the shelf' cap for ArGo occurred to me, they are also made in square and rectangular form and used to cap tubes. So I measured mine, it's a 'close enough for jazz' fit to 1 X 2 inch standard size. E-Bay sells 'em (go figure) as no doubt outfits like McMaster...

I understand your reluctance to become a Legend and all but it's really easy to do. Here, check this out: They made metal molds, but it could be wood, plastic or other materials. Fun to watch the rotary molder in action, it really is that easy. You'd do one at a time likely. You could even...

Sorry, don't know that one. But if you want a custom vinyl cap that's very easy to do. A male mold, made of waxed wood, metal or some plastics is dipped into a very thick 'paint' of vinyl and allowed to drip and dry (which is why all such caps have a thick 'drop' in the center of the top)...

No, the top has to be down. But, of course, that also means the main package is smaller. You could easily 'open up' the hole in the sliding part, it's plastic you could do it with a pen knife or sandpaper around a pencil? If you want to put a cork in you have the problem of getting it out...

Yes it is. It's Copper under the Gold plate. Coupling could be an issue? The rim is thin and you need to clear the air tubes, but if you can pull it off it has potential to be mighty cool IMO. Howcome the microwave vape never happened? OF

Yep, looks like this: Cut one off at 1/4 inch or so if you want to cap the stem in place. You get to decide how great this (or any other) idea is, all I can say is "I tried it and it works for me". OF

You could always interview for a replacement that has no such issues........ This (the noise of the lighter) has been discussed a time or two before. To no useful end (obviously), but that's no reason why we shouldn't try again with fresh minds? I think we can separate the noise of the...

It's been posted here a few times, the latest (less than six months back) is the best IIRC. It's complex but Rene explained it well. Look through the posts by the man hisself? For a more simple, DIY approach why not a simple timer? Basically what we now do with the lighter. You could put 3...

    Arizer Solo

Bummer. While you wait, you might want to wonder over to the new ArGo thread. Think of a compact Solo/Air (stem next to, not on top of, the battery and electronics). Slightly smaller stem, just the last 1/4 inch sticks out the top for a MP. Fast heating, very 'Solo like'. Several guys there...

    Arizer Solo II

I believe those are the instruction for the later models of Solo I. Nobody has confirmed it is a feature of Solo II? But a bigger question might be if it's 'in a normal state' how would you know it had been changed? That is if it reset it would then be normal...... Is that 'normal still'...

Statistically I think it's a sound idea. That doesn't mean it's always the same risk. That is there's a difference between say having the beeper die and the element in the heater breaking? As was so wisely said in Ecclesiastes, "He who increases in Wisdom increases in Sorrow". True then...

But it is on, you're looking at the display, right? In reality (whatever that is) these processors never stop. When you 'power down' it still has to stay running so it can serve your next request (it has to know when you push buttons). The fellow that had it run away before also got a beep in...

    1. Few, if any, do. Most wash, ISO wipe and load at best. They should be clean when you get them (like any glassware?). Personally, I usually put such things in the dishwasher anyway as soon as I get them. 2. Turn it on. There's a crude 'meter' there (upper right corner?), four steps...

    Balloon/Fan adapter

If you try to pump vapor (put the pump after the bowl) you should expect very short life. It will foul very quickly, as a guess jamming up the valves in a diaphragm pump or bearings in a motorized fan. This is, I suspect, why Volcano, HA, that little vape that looks like an Asthma Inhailer...

You're not the first to report the oven is 'loose', several of us have, you might want to read this thread? "Screwing the stem in (or out)" is to be discouraged I think. Your call on opening it up, there's a chance you can find a problem and fix it and get it back together. You've the best...

The Summit by Vapium (Formerly MARK 1)

Yes it sure does. If it didn't wouldn't you expect it? Anything 'off board' carries a premium. Cell phones have captive cells for the same reasons (cheaper, more reliable, and more compact). Can you bypass the charger/battery? I don't think so. A clue is it takes longer to recharge than...

The Summit by Vapium (Formerly MARK 1)

Actually I did. It's in my nature you know, trashing the warranty 'out of the box'. It just wasn't significantly different enough to merit photos IIRC. Not worth finding the camera (and likely charging the battery just to take a photo or two). It's not without risk, the case 'snaps together'...

Got it, set yourself up for a Murphy attack. If you'd used the ones you have plenty of spares of....... As a lad, many many years ago I was a Cub Scout (Junior Boy Scouts). Our 'Den' (group of a dozen or so boys), Den 5, decided on a Totem Pole for display at the annual convention. We each...
