I didn't buy mine from orbtronic, if you google the model number you can find wholsalers from china selling them, I bought mine from one of them. Unfortunately, I'm wondering if I got a fake, or if it was mistreated at some point, because my "nuclear-powered" battery could only last 81 minutes...

With this new nuclear-powered Pax I have even less time on my hands... if you want to try, make sure you can afford a new one, then do this: It's the Pax, it really is... I just made it last longer;)

Yeah but I'm a perfectionist... I think the easy way would be to rip the plates at the end of the wires off the old battery and then try to bend and fold them so when you put the new battery in, it holds the wires in place. It's tight in there so it shouldn't be too hard, just wrap the yellow...

Less than 2 weeks ago hahaha, this thread grows fast! You can browse the pages around page 50 to see pics from when we got the first Pax's I desoldered from the pcb, so the original wires are still on the old battery, then I used new wires... not easy to do without making a mess though...

VapeNazi pioneered there first so he gets credit for the pics: The battery I posted is very cutting edge: 3400mah vs the stock 2600mah. I'm hoping for more than 100 minutes of runtime... But the battery is spot welded to the wires and notice they run under the green pcb, which you have to be...

Only for the foolishly experienced... Oh and then some... I keep looking at it half-expecting it to flash red and then start beeping faster and faster... Ploom can do that by remote :ninja: Honestly though, it was tricky, and a tight fit. But my battery life was poor compared to someone...

My Pax just got a serious upgrade: Starting a new elapsed time table...

I'm not sure but I think he's filling it with less water so that even though it is sucked up it doesn't flood or splash in your mouth. It just sucks into the arms and bubbles inside the arm, like a reverse showerhead.

If it's resin I have a question, did the people with sticky mouthpieces ever hit the Pax closed on the cooldown? I think that might be possibility... But I'm not so sure it is resin, that spring is pretty strong... and all I ever get is light yellow oily resin...

Nice data! 54 minutes and 71 minutes is a pretty big difference too! I counted warm-up time too The only thing I cam think of is that I started my test at night and my pax sat unused all night between bowls 2 and 3 (when it turned from green to yellow) but yours lasted much longer in red!

Yup, medium & I added it to my post, thanks from reminding me That's what I'm wondering brian, I think it's not resin holding the mouthpiece down but some kind of kink in the spring or the catch. What matters is whether it can happen with a good Pax or if it's a defect from the beginning...

These are the downsides to the Pax that I personally noticed, but like pakalolo acknokledged, his second to last point is a big plus for high tolerance users. Thanks for the list!

I was hoping we'd get more Pax's, thanks! On that note, my battery was flashing red when I turned it on this morning for bowl #5. Only 35 min total use... but I've never run it all the way down before so maybe red is like 50-60% left? Have you ever tried a TV or evo with a stainless...

Ploom told me any voltage 9-18v will charge it. The plug is right-angle, center positive, 1.3mm ID, and 3.5mm OD.

My white button doesn't get anything on it that I can't just blow off, does yours get resin-y?
