I'm using the XTar II which also had contact problems with flat tops. I used small hex set screws into to upper contacts to give a little more length. Never noticed any funny light activity since but will take a closer look. I've actually only ISO cleaned once and that was just dipping the brush...

Hey Tweek, I've been around. Just enjoying the vapes and waiting to get some summer weather for a change...Noticed you've been a little quiet these days too. I can't believe I'm actually satisfied with the vape setup I have. The FV has certainly found a place as my main vape of choice. I can...

I have been enjoying this vape everyday and just love it. A hard fast technique, doesn't do it for me. I find the unit varies in performance from load to load. Have not been able to pin down any single reason for this but there's a few things that definitely play a role. An example is the...

I found in this thread from Vapor Wall. IIRC, I think you need to be a member to view.? Maybe not? Not much else to see anyway except a magnet variation. Just to add to the picture. The black part is insulator, likely delrin which can be screwed to adapt to small battery length variations.. The...

Seems like the search for an alternate switch is getting desperate. If folks have access to the right laves then the following picture is a "basic" button mod I found posted in a different forum. It's not latchable by nature but could easily be altered to do both momentary and latch. The...

    DIY Bulli Vaporizer

Thanks Tweek, it's nice to know I can be entertaining while having fun all at the same time. Actually, I even use this thread for forgotten recipes. Was considering going back to a pulse mode unit but forgot that would have to go too low in resistance (well under 1 ohm IIRC) or go back to 6 volt...

    DIY Bulli Vaporizer

Welcome to FC ups, Think your going to enjoy the folks and information here. I believe you are onto something with the Rebuildable Bottom Coil (RBC) clearomizer as a good device for concentrates. In fact I have had my ear the the web waiting for that perfect fit. The Bulli has proved to be...

That USB Xtar is the version I own. Never used the USB option but just having the 2 amp option in case you need it seems like a better bet. Also, the USB version had problems with the + contact and flat top batteries. I used a little hex screw to give the + contact some extra length. Never heard...

Sounds like a plan. The Xtrar charger is a good one. However, I would only charge at 2 amp mode if time is an issue. 1 amp charge is a good trade off for battery life cycles. Charging at 1/2 amp is pampering the cells. :2c::tup:

The Lifpo cells are not on the supported list. The i4 has has two charging voltages, 1.48 for AA (MFLB) and 4.2 for the 18650 3.7 v (FV S2) cell. The 3 volt cell is a rare one. As to what would happen is the LifPo cells would be over charged and minimal damage would be performance longevity and...

I remember the video of playing fetch with it in a asphalt parking lot with a dog. That was the one that helped me make up my mind to buy the T1. It was a tough sucker for sure.

That charger will not charge S1 3 volt cells. OK for S2 and what makes it more expensive is that it charges AA cells as well, which is not needed for the FV. I think if you do switch to the S2 mode, you may not be using the S1 mode much. IMHO, a good fast S2 (4.2V) charger might be the ticket. I...

You have good questions there RB. I think we're hitting some hard to explain territory here and best answered with feedback here and advise from Flash. My case was more severe as in the temp was dropping to an unusable state. I found reversing the battery brought it up to usable temperature...

OK, car battery a bad example? Like your logic though. :D A better example might be in arc welding. Positive goes to rod for a larger bead (hotter side). I read they reverse the polarity for a lesser bead. AC is in between. Found some info on this here in a different forum. Anyway was just a...

Sorry my bad, the Samsung is a ICR18650-22PM which is the battery FV sells as per Flashes post here in the Flashvapes thread. I don't see it at Fasttech. Was just wondering and I knew Mr. Battery would give some insight. hehe Been into the ejuice as well and actually waiting on a...

It can be explained much better from I can explain, but IIRC. It has to do with heavy current and the electrons passing the barrier of a connection. The positive side (the electron receiver) gets hot do to the electron bombardment where the negative side stays cooler. At least that's my...

It's a tough one to explain all right. Another tough one which falls in the same mystery is.... Been biting my tongue on if I should mention this or not, but might help to explain this so, I have also found that reversing the battery brings the temp back up significantly but also calms down...

Hey Haywood, I think you need to put these links in your signature..lol Was wondering your take on the Samsung ICR18650CH cells? I have both Panasonic CGR18650CH and Samsung ICR18650CH cells. Both perform excellent but I notice the Panasonic cell gets hotter under extreme load compared to the...

I'm thinking with the different results I have read about combustion times and what not. Maybe the spacers could come in a kit with 2-3 depths to choose from?....We do like to see the glow.
