@Thunderstealer1337 - You are basically giving the clicker a chance to catch up with the heating. The clicker is heated by the cap which is heated by the Caldron. If the Caldron is too quick, the cap is still preparing to click. You can probably refine the pulse technique to 3-4 firings...

@mr_cfromcali will reply but it sounds like the power is not getting to the Flix... not enough anyway. You are not using the little adapter, right?
