Way cool on the inductive sensing. Why not. I do not have access to the full paper. It is rather loose but it should flush out with a little analysis. Hell, my mind was on direct AC to an Isolation coil-pair. Basically a super high ratio transformer with a couple of output windings...

@RedEyeFlightControl - found an interesting article you might find amusing. I have no idea as to the scale of the components required for this circuit. Most attractive is the lack of semi-devices. Purely passive, bypassing even diodes...

Looks like I got 4 housed IH's! :spliff: Here is the PETG family... From left to right you have the "Standard" w/ a 9-turn coil. Corded and about as small as it comes. The Standard is a hot IH at 3s input. A scorcher with a proper PS. In the middle is "FlatPack". A HalfPint cordless...

Dynacrafts Hand Made Wooden Stems For Dynavap

Space for equipment has always been my limiting factor. A lot can be done with simple tools if you got a place to put them. A passion is a difficult thing to hold back. Turning away is simply impossible. I run stems on a mini-lathe and it gives me the same peace of mind. I now have a...

Too many caps is the source of inspiration :D Followed by a whole lot of fuck-ups. I've got one of those screens in 2-tone. Stands out. I forget the array dimensions. The shine of the cap needs a correction factor in code but the caps are a bit stippled. However, I learned with extreme...

Fluxer Heaters, induction heaters for Dynavap

4.2V is a peek li-ion charge. It quickly settles to the 3.7V range (11.1@3S). When the cells are mostly depleted, they quickly drop below 3.5V [10.5V/3S] resting which means they are ready for a charge. Definitely charge if they drop to 9V while firing. What voltage are you seeing when...

Definitely the next level IH tech. After that, minding the fucking click won't matter. And simple!

    Dynavap VapCap

There are two schools of thought @Thunderstealer1337 . I first read your original post and thought it was too hot, but if you are getting green taste at 3.3 seconds, it ain't done. So you actually have a 4.2 second IH for it to be done but the coil position is hitting the clicker a second early...

@Siebter seems to have the most knowledge of that effort. I suspect the meter is an Arduino programmed display. A good way to go so you can customize to your heart's content. This is a good place to start if you want to play with development...

Looking forward to understanding your Thruster efforts. One other element that only Mag Heaters has implemented that I feel is an absolute must in future offerings. We need to be able to change the depth of insertion. There would have been no need for a low temp cap if this was already built...

@Edgedamage - cool! And thanks to confirm the switch size. I would have pegged it at "maybe 12" :D Even being a mechanical guy, I suck at "how many marbles in the jar" contests. @RedEyeFlightControl - The speed of heating has been known to outpace the DV clicky. One reported yesterday on a...

Okay @RedEyeFlightControl - I am officially jealous of your covid acquisitions. 3D printing is a big hole indeed. Been wallowing in it for 3 years now. Love it still! My circuit is conventional. Straight work coil with a split inductor. Nothing new, just reduced. Exactly what...

    Dynavap VapCap

@Thunderstealer1337 - You are basically giving the clicker a chance to catch up with the heating. The clicker is heated by the cap which is heated by the Caldron. If the Caldron is too quick, the cap is still preparing to click. You can probably refine the pulse technique to 3-4 firings...

@mr_cfromcali will reply but it sounds like the power is not getting to the Flix... not enough anyway. You are not using the little adapter, right?
