By the time I place the dome on and grab the dab the nail is no longer red hot. I found if I didn't get the nail glowing red by the time I went to dab the nail wasn't hot enough. Even now if I stall for 5-10 seconds the nail isn't hot enough and wax just runs over the sides of the nail instead...

How is it normal for it to be shutting itself off at temp 5? If it is overheating and shutting off, that is a flaw! GH put temp 5 on the unit and if it is not usable, someone fucked up!
