Another thing to consider. If you plan on using the Herc, you may fry the top. The older tops were designed before the Herc, and the electronics are not as forgiving of a mis-assembled Herc. There may also be the fact that those tops do not have the "low battery lockout" voltages.:worms:

It says it's coming with the Double Top, so I would think it is an older model. Although I would not be surprised if the one received is one without the Double Top. Also the batteries may be weak as they are old, new stock.

I have the Kathy Feeb egg. Ihaven't noticed the bridge weld being bad on mine. But there is a small stress crack near one of the 4 places that Connect the upper half to the lower half.

I agree, it is probably a combination of both. I used to smoke a "slider", or "paperless joint" and I could get some real ringers off of that thing, but never off of a regular joint.
