GG#4 ETA: getting herb up under the friction ring is an indication of overloading IMO. FM or OM do handle a large volume single load better than BCG, also IMO.

My theory is if you push enough product through your BCG to accumulate any type of real buildup, your consumption pattern is likely such that you won’t notice the few micrograms of oil that is “missing”. At least that’s my case.

The only drawback of that style adapter is that you are still running through your CU, clogging it with honey, and ultimately lowering the flavor of subsequent bowls unless you clean it consistently. Using a WPA in place of the cooling unit cuts down on cleaning and flavor loss. IMO and YMMV...
