The 3.7v will just do oil because it don't get hot enough for lose leaf if I'm not mistaken. If you got both rods its compatible with different voltage batteries. The herc with 3.7v rod should work on omicron as well.

I dunno if I would advise that since your wick is going to be soaked in iso as well, so after you reclaim your wick will have leftover iso in it. you could try and do some dry warmups with it to evaporate the iso, but even after that I wouldn't doubt it if you had a nasty iso taste after you...
