Yeah, my plastic tip stem is looser / less constricted than my all-glass stem too. Haven't used my AA with a bubbler. I use my portable when stealth and mobility are factors. When I have time to play with water, I use my destop.

Nice move with the AA. If it was treated properly by its original owner you've got a good vaporizer that's effective and easy to use.
