Do you think a circuit designed for 2S (Ghost MV1) can handle 12 V?

The regulation could be on the charger board. Something has to cut the voltage to 5V/3.3V before the IC. The large 8-pin IC is probably the main power FET for the coil. The smaller 8-pin IC is a package I normally see in cell protection circuits. This could well be a 'mindless' board...

Do you think a circuit designed for 2S (Ghost MV1) can handle 12 V?

The little charge board - definitely not. That will be made for 2S. The main processor board will have a voltage regulator device somewhere. If this higher voltage is within the range of regulator, you might be good. See what else may be on the unregulated power path.

This is a fucked signup. First the address wouldn't take and then you need a verification email. Then a wrong button press voided the entire transaction and cannot be repeated for 24 hours. Really fucking stupid!

Waiting for some more meters to come in but I thought I'd try to add a 5.5x2.1 connector to the battery pack for a quicker charge. This will also make for a nice remote battery pack for Caldron and Flix or even Apollo. I'll work on 2 cases, one to house the pack and one to add the...

    Alpine 2020/2021 - Induction Heater

Simple - It's my wife's present. Much cleaner tabletop without the wires, meters, and battery packs. A'20 is "the standard" for the time being. However, HalfPint is seriously competing. I'm not worried about it catching fire. The fact that it is a solid "can" makes a difference. Kind of...

It'll be a while before I open it up. This will be for the battery exchange that is sure to happened. Or when I just can't live without the remote fire switch any more. ...which could be tomorrow. But I will let you know and all the other things I find.

At least that. If he was smart he's be driving to your house to pick that piece of liability evidence right up from public view. Knowing this can happened just raised his liability level a few notches.

You owe me one @stark1 Honestly, I put my money down like everyone else not a half hour after announcement. I liked the looks... still do. That is a big part of impression. Having a working one at that leaves an even better impression. Therefore, going from "what the hell.." to "I'll be...

Hell no, they all need to be addressed. None are okay. And that is very much not okay. A dead short on activation is a problem. Not getting an RMA on a product under 30 days old in the USA is illegal. Hit up your VISA or whatever you paid with. DOA is the reason for consumer protection...

@babaganush - this is very true. My provided A'20 charger read 12.18 volts. When I measured the extra capacity to go to 12.6 volts, it was well over a watt-hour of additional charge. Technically, the pack is 11.1 watt/hours so that say better than 10%, and likely closer to 15% of the charge...

What can I say, I call it as I see it and it is looking pretty good. Did you get that comparison report started yet? If I had a PSM I'd be happy to compare them. One plus for PSM will be the ability to change the battery by your freaking self  So hopefully sometime in the next year...

Today I did a little BMS work. Turns out the one I chose has a very loose familiarity with low voltage cutoff. I ran a few weak cells down to what I thought would be a good level - 8 volts and nothing. Then I caught one reading at 7.99V when it popped. Funny enough, given time, even at this...
