Thank you guys for all the encouraging comments! We all know what a lot of folks still don't know and that secret is part of the thrill, to me anyway! My enthusiasm for vapman is undiminished, your comments from all over the world are confirming me daily to be on the right track, that feeling...

Yes, a good question! Why did the vapman thread pick up from 6 pages to almost 150 pages per year? I don't have one single clue, there was nothing I did in particular, no advertising nor did the sales pick up at this period of time, there are no rational reasons what so ever! Just another aspect...

@natural farmer I agree with what you are saying about the screen. I think for each type of concentrate there would be an ideal screen. I have chosen this screen intentionally to do also the liquid and oily stuff but for dry hash, your screen is ideal. May be one day we will have different...

@lemmeadem What about heating your vapman just a bit less for low-temp vaporizing? In fact, I think vapman is ideal to get all the flavors because there is hardly any preheating time where a lot of the flavors can get lost. This is what I do with each load to get maximum flavors: After loading...

@OF Be careful about comparing the power of the Heating Station with the power required from the lens. The station works to about 50% with stored energy. You probably observed already that after heating a cold vapman, the Station stays in the heating mode (red light) for a few seconds before it...

May be there was no follow-up on the Lotus thread because it is simply not possible to heat up such vaporizers with a normal size (1-3 inches) magnifying glass. Of course the black surface would help to absorb as much heat as possible but still, a magnifying glass can never compete with a gas...

Thank you for asking, @mixchu69! The station is not off the table and we don`t need to redesign the unit as we are happy the way it works. I thought that we will find out in five minutes what went wrong with the faulty station as soon we will have it here in our hands but I was wrong because...

@lemmeadem Thank you for the scouting around and the infos, this helps! I know from the tracking, that our parcels always arrive within 1-3 days in the country of destination but the final delivery gets held up by the customs. At least we can send vapmans to Down Under otherwise I really have to...

I wonder how the customs justify the hold up of your parcel for such a long time? This annoys me quite a bit as we are paying close to USD 30.-- for priority shipping. I wonder if it is for quarantine reasons because of the wood? I lived in Australia in the 80's and I know that Australia is...

Thank you OF! Seeing that you already wrote an unbelievable number of 14,287(!!!) posts and having you on this thread is a huge compliment for me and vapman, it really is! I just did a rough calculation of how many hours you might have spent writing posts when taking an average of 10...

@vapelander Your first post is spot on. Thank you! @VegNVape The series of posts, starting off between you and OF about the lost screw, is to good to be true, it is a piece of art! To continue the drama, I could send you some screws in an envelope but I don't know If you are closer...

I found that fuzzy flames have something to do with the surface of the nozzle. I had this a few times and succeeded often by blowing very hard into the side slots and in the front to remove any dust or small fibres and by scratching off the oxides on the nozzle with a flat screwdriver. Fiddling...

Stainless steel sounds very good but I don`t like the idea of shifting the heat further up the middle section as the air path is already very short. We must not forget that this stainless steel part would get extremely hot as it is in direct contact with the filter. Further, I think that the...

    Vapman

Good to know, thank you!:) I think the middle section would have to stand on the paper in order to prevent any residues to get in contact with the wood. This means, the paper insert has to have the shape of the cavity with a rim at the bottom on which the middle section would stand, looking a...

    Vapman

The cracks, as I explained before on this forum, occur because of the tension building up from the great heat, where the wood on the inside shrinks more than on the outside, leading to cracks. Why some vapman crack why some don`t is simply because wood is always unique, even pieces of the same...

@Nilsson Yes it did! Looking at the final product doesn`t reveal the costs of the development at first sight but don`t forget that each component, except the two pins on the middle section, is custom made! I did not put $100,000 in cash on the table, but at least $50,000 for all sorts of...

@VapourHaze The paper inserts are not in the pipe line but I was thinking about this before. Middle section with male adapter for water tools is somthing I could make anytime. @Andreaerdna The middle section made of glass gets extremly hot. Glass is a bad conducter but still a much better one...

I'm with you on this one @herbivore21, what about disposable paper inserts, made of that heat proof paper used for cooking and baking? I think stainless steel would conduct the heat along the air path making the vapor warmer than it is on wood or paper. vapman:)
