I would concur the small stock hammer is just as smooth as the wizard, but I would have opted for the wizard and no hammer if I could when I got it. I figure if theres no experience difference between the two the wizard is just “cooler” to use IMHO. Pure to-may-to to-mah-to semantics there...

I had a B2 prior, the F22 is a huge upgrade for me but as I’ve said that may be more to the effect that I like the open airflow more than the B2. From B1 to F22, honestly I can’t imagine it being much of a different experience.

That’s what I did with my F22, a layer and ~a half of 4mm, filled to top with 3mm. The bottom “screen” seems secure and there is still rattle room.

When the down stem transitions through the side wall it goes into what looks like 10mm at most on the inlet to the perc itself. ETA: here is a pic of the transition, you can see the 19mm down tube gets nearly completely closed off by the transition:

Looks like it still has the coffee stir stick as a perc inlet stem though…I also have a v1, and really that’s still my only complaint.
