I believe the first two minutes are considered "warm up" time, unless you are starting your count from when the lights go solid. :cool:

I haven't noticed any hum on my Herbie, but I haven't looked for it. I do notice that the bottom near the heater stays quite warm for a long time after it has been used at 445 and shut off. I don't think one vaporizer by itself could ever satisfy all my needs...thankfully that's not necessary...

I have yet to read a vaporizer thread on FC that doesn't have SOME issues with reliability or other problem. It could work for 98"% and there will still be some with issues. One person here even sent back their Herbalizer which is probably the most rock solid build quality of almost all vapes...

To me that looked like a female to female GonG adapter first and then he inserted a hose GonG adapter with a male end, not sure but looks 18mm for all pieces. I have a bunch of adapters I might try something like that. Edit: Vito ninja'd me. :ninja:
